live the life you want.
Let’s discover it together.

I help people feel good in
their own skin by giving
them a better understanding of themselves and strategies
to move forward in life
with confidence.

You are already wonderful and enough. My job is to help you feel that every day, to truly sense your goodness deep in your bones, and live that truth through your mental and emotional habits.

I specialize in working with people navigating early adulthood, those tumultuous 20s and 30s where so many of life’s biggest decisions, like relationships and career, are still playing out. I’m here to help you navigate those gracefully and step into your most confident self.

I’m here to support you as you discover your inner resilience, and to give you tools to live life authentically and mindfully, through both triumphs and struggles. As a result of therapy you’ll be able to emerge into your most confident self. You have big dreams, even if you don’t know what they are yet, and therapy is a tool to help you feel empowered to pursue your wildest dreams and passions.

Life often gives us experiences that negatively affect us for years if we don’t know how to cope with them, and few of us do have those skills when traumatic events occur. I’ve seen firsthand the transformative effects traumatic experiences can have, for good and bad. If you’ve been through trauma, therapy is a safe place to heal.

Hi, I’m Ilysa. I’m a clinical psychologist in private practice, & I love to help people.

Helping others has transformed my life, because I’ve seen the dramatic positive effects that come from support and therapy.

My therapeutic style is warm, safe, direct, and approachable. I like to work with people who are eager to make changes in their lives, relationships, or careers. Therapy is a place to grow into your best self, and my role is to support you along your journey of becoming.

My own life has had its struggles, and I’ve been immensely thankful to those who supported me through hard times. It’s what made me decide to become a therapist. When someone walks through my office doors, my mission is to help them feel comfortable right away.

My experiences, personal and professional, have given me insights that I put to work daily, as needed for each client. I earned my
PsyD from Alliant International University and studied under some of the best teachers, and did further training at The
San Francisco Psychotherapy Research Group. I’m thankful for these experiences.

Some people are intimidated by the thought of therapy, and I get that. It can be hard to think about pouring your heart out to someone you don’t know. But I also know that therapy is powerful, and can have dramatic effects for good. To help ensure we’re the right fit for each other, I’m happy to offer 15 minute consultation calls before your first visit.

When I’m not in the office, I spend my time exploring the beauty of the San Francisco Bay area with my family and friends.

Why Therapy

Discover what matters most.

A lot of people have misconceptions about therapy. They might have had a bad experience with it, or have seen it portrayed ineffectively on TV or movies. And that’s a shame, because, done well, therapy is a powerful tool for becoming the person you want to be in life. It’s a place to feel safe with your emotions and know that you won’t be judged for what you’re saying, and most importantly, it’s a place to discover who you are and what matters most.

When you make time for therapy in your life, you’re making an investment in your own emotional health, and it’s a gift that will stay with you for life.

Therapy is…

  • A place to discover who you want to be

  • A tool for uncovering emotional blocks in your life, and gaining skills to move past them

  • A way to heal

  • A safe place to explore new ways of living

  • A trusting relationship with someone who will always see you for the goodness you have to offer.
